Casa Almargens is situated on the edge of Carrapateira town, surrounded by peaceful farmland and an expansive, dramatic coastline.

The landscape is vast, highlighting the incredible colour palettes - colours of the earth, wild green of the vegetation, and the ever present sparkling blue ocean beyond the rugged cliffs.

Carrapateira is a laid-back, beautiful little town off the beaten track in one of the most stunning natural parks in Portugal. Its wild backdrop sets the village aside from other coastal towns that are more commonly known in the Algarve.

A leisurely walk away and you can join the locals gathering in the square for their morning coffee, or awaiting the fish van to arrive to purchase their weekly batch of freshly caught fish to mindfully grill on the bbq.

Being amongst such breathtaking nature, the location allows you to immerse yourself in the simple life and recharge. Walking, exploring beaches, reading, and cooking delicious local produce and picking up a bottle of natural Portuguese wine and heading to the cliff tops for magical sunsets are the things we love to do when retreating here.

Explore the beaches of Bordeira and Amado by foot, just a 20 minute walk away or hop in the car and get to know the local area a little more. From wild beaches to small coves, farmers markets and local cafes to delicious sea food restaurants, leisurely strolls to all day hikes.

Within a 5 minute walk, you will find a local shop in the small town as well as a handful of cafes and restaurants.

We love to share all of our favourite places with you to ensure you have a memorial experience during your stay.
